We are happy to announce that SAMSON School 2017 will take place next to Lyon, France’s third largest city, from June 19 to June 23.

The SAMSON School is split into two independent parts, and you can register to either part, or both of them:

  • The Users program from Monday 19 at 10:30 am to Wednesday 21 at 2pm
  • The Developers program from Wednesday 21 at 10:30 am to Friday 23 at 2pm
  • The Full program from Monday 19 at 10:30 am to Friday 23 at 2pm

The Users program includes sixteen lectures and practicals about setting up SAMSON and using its core functionalities, as well as introductions to the current most popular SAMSON Elements, from simple SAMSON Elements defining e.g. selection editors, to more advanced SAMSON Elements offering complex functionality, e.g. interactive simulation with Brenner, UFF, or GROMACS force fields, modeling of carbon nanotubes and graphene sheets, protein-ligand docking with Vina, etc.

The Developers program includes seventeen lectures and practicals about setting up the SAMSON Software Development Kit (SDK) and developing your own SAMSON Elements. In these lectures, you will learn how to develop new apps, force fields, simulators, editors, visual representations, property calculations, etc. and, when you want to, how to share your SAMSON Elements on SAMSON Connect.

Both programs will cover the new version of SAMSON and the SAMSON SDK, as well as new SAMSON Elements, that will be released before the school.

By the end of the week, you will be able to independently use SAMSON and take advantage of the SAMSON SDK to develop your own SAMSON Elements.
