How to Share Documents on SAMSON Connect
To share your documents, navigate to the Home > Publish option within SAMSON Connect. You’ll be prompted with a straightforward dialog box to upload your file. Here, you can specify:
- Name: Provide a clear, descriptive name for your document.
- Description: Add context about the file’s content or its purpose.
- Visibility level: Choose from three options to customize document access:
- Public: Accessible to everyone, with editing restricted to those granted rights.
- Hidden: Available only to individuals with the link, allowing the same editing restrictions.
- Restricted: Accessing or editing requires explicit rights.
Once you finalize these details, click Publish document. Your document will not only be uploaded to SAMSON Connect – Documents, but you’ll also receive a direct link to share it immediately with collaborators.
Managing Shared Documents
As your project evolves, new collaborators may join or existing collaborators may require different levels of access. This is where SAMSON Connect’s management tools shine. Through your SAMSON Connect account, you can view a centralized list of documents you’ve shared and those shared with you, as well as modify access permissions with ease.
