They can be freely available, included in your plan, or acquired via subscription. This flexibility allows you to tailor SAMSON to your specific modeling needs without being overwhelmed by unnecessary features.
Adding Extensions to Your Installation
The SAMSON Marketplace is your go-to hub for discovering new extensions. To add an extension:
- Sign in to SAMSON Connect.
- Browse the available extensions in the Marketplace.
- For freely available extensions, click the Add button. The extension will be marked as “Added.”
Once added, restarting SAMSON will automatically download and install the extension for seamless integration.
Trying or Subscribing to Advanced Extensions
Some extensions are available through a subscription mechanism. You can request a trial or subscribe to an academic or standard plan:
- Trials: Click Request trial to test an extension without any upfront cost or credit card requirement.
- Subscriptions: Choose your desired plan (monthly, yearly, or academic) and click Subscribe.

Managing and Removing Extensions

- To remove a free extension, go to Account > Settings > View my extensions, hover over the Added button until it changes to Remove, and click it. Restart SAMSON to finalize the removal.
For managing subscriptions, navigate to Account > Settings > View my subscriptions. This is also where you can make adjustments or cancel ongoing subscriptions.
