For instance, if you are working on a structural model and want to emphasize its atoms and bonds transitioning from invisible to fully opaque, the Appear animation applies transparency changes to the structural model, and not directly to individual atoms and bonds (since the latter lack a transparency attribute themselves).
How to Use the Appear Animation
To get started with the Appear animation, here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Start by selecting the nodes you want to make progressively visible in your animation.
- Access the Animation panel in the Animator. Double-click on the Appear animation effect from this menu to apply it.
The animation operates via four keyframes:
- From keyframe 1 to keyframe 2, the selected nodes remain fully transparent.
- Between keyframes 2 and 3, the nodes progressively appear by decreasing their transparency.
- From keyframe 3 to keyframe 4, the nodes reach full opacity, meaning there’s no more transparency.
Additionally, you can customize the animation’s pacing by modifying its Easing curve. This allows you to control how smoothly the transparency change progresses across frames.
