Clean, Try, Switch: A Better Way to Manage Your SAMSON Extensions

As a molecular modeler, your workflow is often enhanced by specialized tools—automated docking assistants, visual analysis aids, simulation bridges, and more. But managing all these tools—knowing what’s installed, trying new features, dealing with limitations based on your current plan—can sometimes become a chore, especially when you just want to focus on your research or modeling tasks.

Fortunately, SAMSON Connect has a well-designed system to help you handle SAMSON Extensions efficiently, whether you’re adding, subscribing, trying, or removing them.

Why managing extensions matters

Managing your SAMSON Extensions helps you avoid clutter, reduce loading times, and ensure you’re using the right tools for your current project without unnecessary overhead. Whether you’re experimenting with new functionality or refining production workflows, having precise control is key.

From “Add” to “Subscribed”—A quick overview

On the SAMSON Connect Marketplace, you can explore all available SAMSON Extensions. Each extension comes with descriptive metadata—including authors, system compatibility, version info, and available SAMSON versions.
