How to Apply Visual Presets
To apply a Visual Preset, navigate to Visualization > Visual preset and select from the list of available presets. Going Further: Illustrative Styles
If you’re drawn to visually striking molecular images, SAMSON provides an illustrative visualization and rendering style inspired by the famous “Molecule of the Month” series by David S. Goodsell. You can apply the “Illustrate…” preset for a more artistic representation of molecular systems.
This preset uses color-per-chain IDs and van der Waals models to create an aesthetically pleasing and highly informative illustration. For further rendering effects resembling the illustrative style, you can select Visualization > Presets > Illustrative. And when you’re ready to revert to a standard view, choose “Default” or “High quality” presets to reset the visualization.
