  • Object-space ambient occlusion (OSAO): A slower but more realistic option. Regardless of its speed, even SSAO can significantly improve depth perception in most scenarios.

Where and How to Adjust Ambient Occlusion

To customize ambient occlusion in SAMSON, navigate to the Rendering > Ambient occlusion section of the Preferences panel:

The settings allow you to fine-tune factors such as strength and quality for optimal results. Alternatively, if you need a quick toggle, you can enable or disable SSAO in one click via the Visualization > Options menu.
