  • Next, open the Animation panel within the Animator and double-click the Orbit camera effect.
  • Set the number of frames or end frame for the animation according to the timing and smoothness you want to achieve.

Note: The Animation menu used in older versions of SAMSON is no longer available. All animations can now be accessed via the Animation panel within the Animator.

Adjusting Camera Behaviors

The Orbit camera animation’s flexibility allows you to fine-tune its behavior:

  • Define the target point: By default, this corresponds to the current center of the view. You can adjust it via camera controllers to best suit your molecular system.
  • Rotation plane: The rotation plane varies based on whether the grid is toggled on or off. If the grid is off, the plane passes through the horizontal center of the view and the target point. If the grid is on, it runs parallel to the grid plane.
  • Utilize the Easing curve for camera animations to control how transitions occur between frames. Smooth accelerations and decelerations can make your presentations more natural and visually pleasing.
