Not Getting Your SAMSON Confirmation Email? Here’s What to Know

Registering on SAMSON Connect is the first step toward accessing powerful tools for integrative molecular design. But what if you’ve signed up and the confirmation email is nowhere to be found? For many users—especially those using Gmail—this delay can feel confusing or frustrating.

This post dives into what’s happening behind the scenes, what you can try, and how to get going with SAMSON even if your confirmation email is late.

No Confirmation Email? Gmail Might Be the Cause

If you used a Gmail address to register for SAMSON Connect, your confirmation email might take more time to arrive. Gmail has additional email scanning and queuing processes that can delay delivery. Check your spam folder and the “Promotions” tab carefully—confirmation emails sometimes land there.

Still Waiting? Here’s What to Do

You don’t need to wait endlessly. Luckily, you can still move forward:

  • Access your SAMSON Key directly: Head to SAMSON Connect and sign into your account with the credentials you registered with. There, you’ll find your SAMSON Key needed to activate the application.
  • Start Using SAMSON: With the SAMSON Key from your account, you can proceed to install and launch SAMSON right away—no need to wait for an email.

Pro Tips for Smooth Registration

To avoid disruptions and ensure more efficient support, take note of the following:

  • Use your academic email address: Not only can this make email delivery faster, but it also helps you obtain an academic license that unlocks free and discounted SAMSON Extensions (up to 90% off).
  • Didn’t receive academic status after using your academic email? Reach out to contact@samson-connect.net. The team generally responds within 1–2 business days.
  • If you change your registration email: SAMSON uses your registration email as an identifier. Switching emails will require a reinstall of SAMSON using the new credentials—so plan email updates accordingly.

Working in Academia But Have No Institutional Email?

If you’re a student or researcher working in academia but don’t have access to an official academic email, you’re not locked out. Just contact the SAMSON team directly and explain your situation—they’re often able to accommodate exceptional cases with manual verification.

Taking these steps ensures your registration flows as smoothly as possible, allowing you to benefit from the full SAMSON ecosystem quickly.
