Controlling Label Visibility
In SAMSON, you can toggle label visibility from the Document view. Simply tick or untick the labels to show or hide them as required.
One of the unique features of SAMSON is how it adjusts label visibility during zooming. When you zoom out, labels for smaller nodes such as atoms start disappearing, leaving only higher-level labels for larger structures like molecules. This progressive visibility ensures comprehensive understanding without overwhelming you with unnecessary details. Zooming in reverses this process, bringing back the labels for smaller structures.
Customizing Display Radius
SAMSON enables further customization by allowing you to modify when labels appear or disappear based on zoom levels. To fine-tune this behavior, select a label and access the Inspector. Adjust the maximum and minimum display radii to specify the zoom thresholds for label visibility.
For example, setting a larger minimum display radius ensures that only higher-level structural labels appear when zoomed out. This helps maintain a clean visualization, especially when studying components across various scales.
