SAMSON provides an elegant solution with its Extensions Marketplace—a centralized hub where users can find and manage add-ons for a more efficient molecular modeling experience.

What Are SAMSON Extensions?
SAMSON Extensions are modules that enhance the core functionality of the SAMSON platform. These extensions allow users to access additional tools, algorithms, and features tailored to their workflows, whether it’s molecular dynamics, visualization enhancements, or cloud-based computation.
The Extensions Marketplace is the central location where users can browse all available extensions, install them into their SAMSON instance, and manage their subscriptions.
Adding Free Extensions
Available free extensions can be added directly to your SAMSON setup from the Marketplace. To do so, sign in to your SAMSON Connect account, navigate to the Marketplace, and locate the desired extension. A simple click on the Add button integrates it into your SAMSON instance.
Once added, the extension will be marked as “Added.” Restart SAMSON to automatically download and install the extension.
Trying and Subscribing to Extensions
For extensions available on a subscription basis, SAMSON offers a trial option. Trials are great for exploring extended capabilities before committing to a subscription. Simply select the Request trial option, which doesn’t require credit card details. During the trial period, the extension will be marked as “Trying.”
If the extension meets your needs, subscribing is easy. Choose a monthly or yearly plan by clicking on the Subscribe button. Academic users can even leverage discounted academic plans.
Removing Extensions
When an extension is no longer needed, removing it is straightforward. Simply head to Account > Settings on SAMSON Connect, find the extension under “View my extensions,” hover over the Added button (which will change to Remove) and click. Restart SAMSON to update your setup and complete the removal process.
Managing Subscriptions
Users can manage active subscriptions through the View my subscriptions section in their account settings. The My Subscriptions page allows you to review and customize your active plans and explore other options if needed.
