For molecular modelers, presenting complex molecular designs effectively is often challenging. A well-orchestrated presentation can highlight intricate details, but without the right tools, conveying complex ideas can be tedious. One such tool provided by SAMSON is the Pause animation, which can significantly enhance your animations and storytelling by letting you focus on specific frames for a defined duration.
What Is the Pause Animation?
The Pause animation allows you to freeze your molecular presentation at a specific frame for a particular number of seconds. This feature provides ample time to explain key molecular interactions, molecular structures, or any other critical element in focus, ensuring that your audience absorbs essential details before moving forward.
How to Add a Pause Animation
To implement a Pause animation, follow these steps:
- In the Animation panel of the Animator, locate the Pause animation effect.
- Double-click on it to insert the animation keyframe at the current frame of your presentation timeline.
- Adjust the position of the keyframe if needed to align with the frame you wish to pause.
Note: You can always move the keyframes later to fine-tune the timing.
Customizing the Pause Duration
If your pause duration requires customization, SAMSON makes it straightforward. Navigate to the Inspector and select the Pause animation node in the Document view. Here, you’ll find the options to specify exactly how long the animation should pause.
This flexibility ensures you can adjust the timing for each segment of your presentation as needed, providing a better understanding of molecular structures and processes to your audience.
Why Use the Pause Animation?
The ability to pause animations might seem simple, but it has a profound impact, especially in fields like molecular modeling where clarity is critical. By pausing at key points, you can:
- Draw attention to important molecular regions or interactions.
- Provide educators with better pacing and focus during their sessions.
- Make your animations more engaging and less overwhelming for viewers.
