Simplify Your Molecular Modeling Workflow with Document Sharing on SAMSON Connect

For molecular modelers, collaboration often involves juggling countless files, managing access permissions, and making sure the right people have the latest information. These tasks, though necessary, can consume valuable time better spent on actual research and design. Thankfully, SAMSON Connect offers a streamlined approach to document sharing, making collaborative molecular modeling workflows significantly easier to manage.

What Makes Document Sharing on SAMSON Connect Special?

SAMSON Connect enables users to upload and share their documents while maintaining full control over visibility and permissions. Whether you’re working in academia or industry, the platform ensures your collaborators receive the data they need to advance your projects—without unnecessary complications.

To share a document from SAMSON, navigate to Home > Publish. This action opens a publishing dialog where you can:

  • Set a document name and detailed description.
  • Choose visibility levels to control who can access the document:
  • Public: Everyone can use the document; however, editing requires access rights.
  • Hidden: Those with the link can access the document, but editing requires access rights.
  • Restricted: Both viewing and editing privileges require specific permissions.

The ability to assign access to groups directly is particularly valuable for team-based projects. For example, project leads can efficiently manage large teams by grouping members based on their role in a project and setting permissions at the group level.

Whether you’re working with public datasets, proprietary research, or confidential projects, SAMSON Connect’s flexible document visibility and granular permission levels cater to your specific needs. No longer do you need to worry about unauthorized edits or delayed information sharing—SAMSON Connect has you covered.
